Method Detail

validate

default void validate()
               throws ComponentConfigurationException

Requests that the component validate its configuration. The component object's JSON configuration is always injected before this method is called.
Things to check for:

• Null or empty field values - Due to limitations of the jackson JSON deserializer, even fields annotated as required may still be null after configuration injection
• Validation of field values - Expected format, length, other constraints etc.
• Collections - Non-empty or contain the required number of values.

Throws:

ComponentConfigurationException - Thrown when the component's configuration is found to be invalid
